Defender Rhys Bennett has become the latest Rochdale player to sign a new two year contract with the club.

Bennett, like to others, had already had his 12 month clause automatically extended as manager Keith Hill worked to keep the squad together given everything he has said about spirit and continuity, but like the others, the club weren’t content to just have him secured until next summer, and moved to offer him a fresh two year deal keeping him with us until the summer of 2016.

The 22 year old has today signed what is effectively a further 12 month addition, and will take his time at Spotland to four years having joined us in 2012.
