Manager Keith Hill has given his thoughts following Saturday’s loss to Millwall.

Welcoming Neil Harris’ side to Spotland for the match, Millwall scored in the second period with their only strike on target across the 90 minutes, and in what was a hard fought game, Hill was disappointed to not see the side get something from the match.

Speaking to the Official Site in his post game press conference, a disappointed Hill explained that compared to last week, there were plenty of positives he could offset the disappointment with.

‘I feel a lot better this week, even although we`ve been defeated. There was a lot of what I like, especially in the first half. In the second half, I think the opposition were very good at killing the game off in the manner that they did. We found it very difficult to try and break them down and at times like that I think we`ve got to try and go a little bit more direct earlier and quicker. But I thought the first half represented good opportunities for us. We had one or two sniffs in the second half but it wasn`t really a game in the second half. They killed the game well.’

Hill went on to say.

‘The goal itself is a really scruffy goal. And that happens sometimes. But like I said, I feel better about the performance today and looking ahead than I did last week because there was a lot of good things today. Today we got a lot of what we wanted. I`m disappointed with the result and the manner in which we conceded the goal but other than that we were ok today.’

With Calvin Andrew coming off early in the game around the half hour mark having landed awkwardly in the match, Hill confirmed that he had gone to hospital for an x-ray but at the time of speaking there was no update on whether the issue was serious or not.

‘He has gone to the hospital for an x-ray. I think he was causing them problems. He`ll be a miss, a big miss.’
