Striker Scott Hogan has been nominated for the League 2 Player of the Year Awards at the Football League Awards event this Sunday.

Hogan is named in the final three up for the Award and joins Chesterfield winger Gary Roberts and Scunthorpe United striker Sam Winnall.

The winner will be announced this Sunday along with the winners of the other categories in the annual awards programme.

The Football League said of our striker.

Scott Hogan (Rochdale)
Striker Hogan`s chance at Rochdale might have gone after he was released by the club in May 2011 but almost three years on he is a shining example of why you should never give up. Spells with several non-league clubs followed before his second Spotland opportunity arrived in May last year with a move that has worked out brilliantly for player and club. He scored on his Dale debut and hasn`t looked back, bagging goals consistently to be closing in on the fabled 20-mark by the start of March with Keith Hill`s men eyeing promotion.

Good luck Scott!
