Manager Keith Hill has given an injury update on striker Scott Hogan following his injury and substitution in the game against Bury and confirmed that the knee problem has not ended his season.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game against Torquay United, Hill admitted that Hogan would be out for a few games but he should be back for the final weeks of the season.

‘There’s no pressure on Scotty, he was out for a six week period earlier in the season so we can cope because we’ve got a very good squad. Do I want Scott fit? One hundred per cent! He’s a great player for us but he’ll also be a great player once he’s recovered.’

Hill says no timescale has been put on his return simply so there is no rush to get him back too soon, but he will be back for the run in one way or another, and his spirits are high knowing it’s not an overly serious problem, as obviously concerns were it was a case of season over for him.

Having scored 19 times for us this season in 37 games, it’ll certainly be a big boost for us when he does return fit following this knock.
