JPT Second Round: Walsall (h)

As many, most even, in fact all Rochdale fans I suspect will now know the draw for the second round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy was made on Saturday morning.

Now, as is traditional, this draw was made live on Soccer AM.

This draw put together some interesting ties, in both the northern and southern divides, even if this draw was not exactly taken very seriously at all by some of those doing it at times! Soccer AM is about having fun but the teams and Trophy were often done a disservice with the shenanigans that were going on.

I’ll get off my high horse now….

Following this, after our safe passage through the first round when we beat Crewe Alexandra three-nil, we will now face Walsall for a place in the third round.

This game will be played at Spotland on the week beginning 6th October.
