Full back Tom Kennedy has reflected on the season so far and given his thoughts ahead of the trip to Burton Albion this weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site Kennedy explained that everybody was in confident mood given how we had started the season, but of course there is some disappointment that we haven’t taken more points so far.

‘You`ve got to look at the season as a whole and the start we`ve made has been good. As a collective team, we`re a little bit disappointed not to have won every game because we`ve got that sort of mentality where we`re going into every game confident. We never underestimate an opponent but we`ve got faith in our squad as a whole. You`ve seen that when we`ve had injuries and we`ve had people coming in and going back out of the team again. It’s a very strong squad, but it`s also a confident squad.’

Kennedy went on to say that fans can see from the Fleetwood game that right until the end we were going for the win, but the draw wouldn’t dampen spirits or affect either our mindset for matches or our momentum, and we’d be looking to see that continue in the Burton game and our trip to the Pirelli Stadium.

‘In my opinion, there are no easy games in this league. It`s a very competitive league and I`ve no doubt that they will be up there at the end of the season. It`s another test for us but it`s one that we`re relishing and looking forward to.’

With Burton sitting in 5th place, one point and a place above us following their promotion last year, the defender went on to say.

‘We don`t fear anybody. We go into every game having our game plan that the Gaffer sets us, so we know what we`re doing and that`s all we can do. If we work hard and give 100-percent every game, then I don`t think we`ll go far wrong.’

This site is looking for an editor (at least a contributor or blogger), so if you’re a fan that can offer us a genuine opinion we would love to share it with the masses!
