Rochdale’s League 1 season continued with a win against Millwall at the Den on Saturday.

A first home win of the league season was secured by Millwall as they beat Rochdale three-one with Abdou (4) getting the Lions off to a flyer! Vincenti (43) looked to have sent Dale into the half time break level but Williams (45) restored that lead.

Morison (60) made sure on the hour to see Millwall move up the table but Rochdale have slipped down, with Dale dropping out of the play-off places to 7th.

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Saturday 26th September 2015
Barnsley 2-0 Gillingham
Bradford 0-2 Peterborough
Bury 2-1 Coventry
Chesterfield 1-2 Burton
Fleetwood 1-2 Port Vale
Millwall 3-1 Rochdale
Oldham 1-1 Wigan
Sheff Utd 3-1 Doncaster
Shrewsbury 2-0 Blackpool
Southend 2-1 Scunthorpe
Swindon 1-2 Colchester
Walsall 1-1 Crewe

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Peterborough and Colchester, a few others make you sit up and take interest – even these two weren’t overly surprising as such – but there weren’t really any major surprises as such really?

Graham Westley, who will be under pressure to do a job as his appointment appears to have been made to a ‘mixed response’ at Peterborough, started with a win for Posh! A two-nil win at Bradford saw the home sides unbeaten run ended and not only got Westley off to a winning start but also kept an unbeaten run that Posh had been on going!

I’m not sure we should be ‘surprised’ by another Colchester win really! This win at Swindon makes it three in a row after wins at Sheffield United and the win at the Weston Homes Community Stadium against previously unbeaten Gillingham last weekend. This time the U’s saw off the Robins two-one to continue the unbeaten run, which extends to four-matches now.

Rochdale are back in action this midweek with another League 1 game against Shrewsbury at Spotland on Tuesday.
