Rochdale’s League 1 season continued with a win against Port Vale at Spotland on Saturday.

The recent form of Rochdale, compared to Port Vale who hadn’t lost in the month before Saturday, made the two-one win all the more impressive, more so with Dale coming from a goal down after Chris Birchall put Vale ahead!

Ian Henderson scored from the penalty spot just before the break after a Carl Dickinson foul on Donal McDermott with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing winning it late on. Vale ended with 10-men when Dickinson saw red.

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Saturday 28th November 2015
Barnsley 1-1 Sheff Utd

Coventry 2-2 Doncaster
Crewe 1-0 Oldham
Millwall 1-0 Bury
Rochdale 2-1 Port Vale
Scunthorpe 0-4 Peterborough
Shrewsbury 2-2 Gillingham
Southend 0-0 Wigan

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Blackpool and Peterborough?

Burton and Swindon produced convincing wins over Colchester and Chesterfield, respectively – with the Spireites defeat resulting in Dean Saunders being sacked, deserve honourable mentions though!

Blackpool and Fleetwood are not only neighbours they look like being relegation rivals this season with the Tangerines getting the points, and bragging rights, at Bloomfield Road with a one-nil win.

Peterborough not only won, which they did at Glanford Park against Scunthorpe, another four-goal haul saw Posh go home with the points after an impressive four-nil win!
