Sky Sports are reporting that former Wrexham midfielder Mark Jones is a target for Rochdale.
The 24 year old midfielder left Wrexham at the end of last season following their relegation to the Conference.
It is understood that there has been a delay in the Welshmans return to full fitness. This meant that POSH, who had offered him a contract, pulled out of the deal. This, according to Sky, leaves the door open for Dale.
Jones has made one appearance for the Welsh national team and has been called up for several of their squads.
It is fair to say Jones has failed to live up to his potential in recent times and was frozen out by Brian Little for the last three months of last season.
He sounds just like the ‘broken toy’ type player Hilly so often speaks of!
