Keith Hill has said that Halifax was a perfect example of where the players can continue to improve ahead of the new season, as said the lads mis managed their time during the game.

Speaking to the Official Site he explained.

‘From a performance point of view it was mis management of time from our players and it’s important that we brush up on that. We couldn’t envisage what tactics the opposition could have used and they decided to sit deep, were compact as a unit, they allowed our back four to have the ball and to a certain degree we abused that time. While spending too much time in negative possession you can get a little bit lapse with respect to concentration and we were borrowing time off other team mates who were in a better position.’

The positives are that it’s pre season, results don’t matter and at this stage it’s about fitness mainly, but highlighting things we can do better is a bonus as it’s something we can work on ahead of the season.
