Stephen Jordan has started to look like he’s always been at Rochdale, but the former Manchester City defender was to struggling to find a club before Eyre snapped him up.

The left back has gone on record thanking the manager. ‘I’ve got to thank Steve and Frank for bringing me in. I’m just enjoying playing football at the minute.’

At just 29, Jordan has a few more years left to play and is proving to be a shrewd signing. He feels the club are moving in the right direction.

‘The manager and Frank set us out to play football, we’ve got some good players so hopefully we’ll be pushing up the table soon.’

Another Eyre signing, Harry Bunn, has caught the eye of Brentford manager, Uwe Rosler. The former City striker even went so far as to say that Bunn has been ‘the best player for them (Dale) in their last couple of games.’

‘He`s a very exciting player and one I wanted to take to Brentford, but Rochdale got him.’

Eyre’s contact book is proving more and more useful with each signing. Here’s hoping there’s more to come.
