From sunny Spain to rainy Rossendale.

Dale will play their first pre-season game on English soil this Saturday as we make the short trip to Dark Lane to take on Rossendale United.

As yet admission prices are unknown although Rossy are playing Accy this week with prices at £5 Adults, £3 Concessions. Kids under 14 who are accompanied by an Adult are just £1. I would expect the prices v Dale will be similar.

Dale are still in Spain at the moment and are set to take on Charlton Athletic on Tuesday evening. Saturday saw Dale take on Posh and lose 3-1 with Daggers scoring a penalty. There was a lot of chopping and changing in the team and new signings Keltie, Wiseman and Toner were all given outings alongside trialist Simon Heslop no doubt giving HillCroft plenty to think about.

The trip to Spain seems to have been a huge success yet again with the players enjoying the excellent facilities on offer despite the gruelling training sessions. The team seems to have bonded well and this can only be a good thing as we look towards another crack at promotion.

There should be a decent following descending on Rossendale this weekend as fans look to get a first glimpse at some of the new players.
