Caretaker manager Chris Beech will be given every chance to repeat the feats of Keith Hill and become the club`s manager on a permanent basis.

Chris Beech has been working with the youth teams, just as Hill was when he took over Steve Parkin way back in 2006.

Chairman Chris Dunphy has laid down a challenge to Beech, telling BBC Radio: “It’s up to Chris to make the job his own and to make it irresistible for us. I said the same thing when Keith went in charge of the club that it was only on a temporary basis and look what Keith went on to do.”

It remains to be seen if Beech will be trusted with the club cash in January.

  • Can’t see him being given any cash. Half the squad to leave in Jan as they’re on loan – hiding to nothing
