Dale Still Well Placed…

Dale managed to stay in the top half of the table this afternoon despite having their game postponed for the second week running.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Dale officials as all the hard work and late nights that went into trying to get the game on came to nothing. Credit too to the Dale fans who turned up at 9 am this morning to help remove all the straw which had been laid atop the pitch covers to add further insulation. It was a long trip for the hardy souls who travelled up from Barnet knowing that there was every chance the game would be called off but it seems, in the end, that we couldn’t beat the weather.

On a more positive note, Dale only moved down one place to 11th after today’s games and are just 6 points off Chesterfield, who lie in seventh, with two games in hand. Indeed Dale have three games in hand on several teams who lie around them in the league. Whilst it’s been a frustrating time for everyone involved with the club recently hopefully Wednesday will see us take to the pitch for the first time in over two weeks and with a bit of luck close the gap on the play-offs.
