Hill looking for more

Rochdale boss Keith Hill was overjoyed to see his side beat Accrington Stanley 4-2 but insists that Dale should have scored more. A brace from Glenn Murray and goals from Adam Rundle and Adam Le Fondre sealed the win in the North West derby at Spotland in which Murray had a excellent chance to grab a hat-trick if it weren’t for a terrific save from Stanley keeper Przemyslaw Kazimierczak from the penalty spot.

Hill said, ‘We had two goals disallowed for offside, one of which I’m sure was onside, and we missed a penalty so overall we’re really happy.

‘It was a physical game but the lads can handle the physical side of it and they produced that little bit of quality we have in the team.

‘We envisaged Accrington scoring but we felt we would definately score so in the end to outscore them means we’ve done really well and it just shows that he best form of defense is attack.’

Given the attacking flow Dale presented on Saturday, the rivival is certainly picking up pace with Dale now looking at safety and hopefully a mid table spot ready for next year.
