Chris Beech has named an assistant manager from outside the club, in what could be seen as strong hint that the youth team coach could be the next permenant manager.
Beech, currently caretaker boss has taken on Ryan Kidd to help him out. The 40 year old Kidd has previously been assistant to Simon Davey at Barnsley and is no stranger to short stays at a club, having spent 11 days in charge of Darlington.
It would seem he`s in for a longer stay at Spotland. With the January transfer window looming, chairman Chris Dunphy has to make a decision soon whether to bring somebody in, or back Beech in the market.
The external appointment of Kidd would suggest the latter.
