‘We will win, simple as that.’
Efe Sodje has cranked up the hype ahead of the coming weekend`s Bury – Rochdale derby by stating: “we`re going to win it.”
Speaking to BBC Manchester the veteran defender said: “Obviously it’s going to be a big game because they’ve not won a game and we’ve lost our last three games. We know it’s a massive game and our boys will be ready for it.”
Sodje has played over 500 games of professional and his experience has been vital to Bury`s solid start to life in League 1; the club gained 7 points from a possible 12 in their first 4 matches, conceding only 4.
Since then it`s been 2 league defeats in a row for the Shakers and their defence has shipped 6 goals. Sodje is anything but downbeat though, with the big Nigerian stating: “We don’t have anything to prove. I think people should try and get the negative thing out of their head, that because we’ve lost Mozika and Lowey that we can’t perform anymore.’
Rochdale could certainly use a little of his can do attitude going into Saturday`s clash.
