Hilly Speaks On Perkins

With speculation going through the roof this week with regards comings and goings Keith Hil has spoken to the official site about David Perkins.

Perkins has attracted the attention of Stockport who are apparently offering something in the region of £150k for the midfielder. A release clause of £150k is thought to be in Perkins’ contract. The Ob are also reporting that Colchester are showing an interest and both clubs have had offers accepted by Dale.

It all depends on what you read really as Dunphy has reportedly said that Perkins wants to stay. At the moment it seems the midfielder is struggling to agree personal terms with Col Ewe or County.

‘David is one of the best players in the 2nd division so there were always going to be rumours about him. He has been and still is a credit to this football club. He is an awesome player and it does not suprise me that he has been atttracting the attention of other clubs. I will also say that he is going into the final year of his contract. He is a very good player who has been given his opportunity by Rochdale Football Club and has flourished in this enviroment. He has had a lot of time to catch up on and I know him very well and he is very ambitious. At this moment in time he is a Rochdale player and unless that changes he is in training with us tomorrow’.

We shall have to wait and see!
