McArdle Signs Until 2010

In a somewhat political move today the club also revealed that Rory McArdle has signed an extension to his contract meaing he will be at the club until 2010.

In his interview on the official site The Wall sounded very positive about the future of the club and insisted we are moving forward. He also said his thankyou’s to our current management duo who have helped him progress markedly.

McArdle didn’t let the interview finish without seemingly havng a pop at the departing David Perkins saying:

‘I’d say i’m delighted rather than pleased to have signed and to be honest I don’t know why anyone would want to leave this football club’.

It is good news for Dale fans as McArdle has become one of our most consistent performers in recent times. During his initial loan spell at the club under Steve Parkin he was much maligned but has now surely changed the opinions of most Dale fans.

Hopefully McArdle can keep up his good form and continue to strengthen his partnership with Nathan Stanton as we look for promotion.
