Rochdale welcome Gillingham to Spotland in what will be a crucial game for both sides as they both look to gain promotion to League One. The two sides met on Saturday where Gillingham ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a Curtis Weston strike, however Dale will be looking to recapture promotion form which they’ve failed to create in the last few weeks.

Vital Quotes:

Rochdale Team News:

Rochdale have no new injury concerns apart from young defender Nathan Dawson, who nurses a dead leg. Keith Hill will welcome back first team players Chris Dagnall, Nathan Stanton, Adam Le Fondre, Clark Keltie, Ciaran Toner, Lee Thorpe and Tom Kennedy after they were rested in the same fixture on Saturday.

Player to watch: Adam Le Fondre

Adam Le Fondre’s goals have dried up of late and he will no doubt be chomping at the bit to rediscover his goalscoring exploits which have served him so well this season. A starting role is expected for the 22 year old and he will be looking to cause havoc for the Gills defence at every given opportunity.

Gillingham Team News:

Winger Albert Jarrett looks set to keep his place after putting in a fine shift at Spotland on the weekend, while Andy Barcham, Simeon Jackson and Mark McCammon are all set to be recalled to the starting line up. Goalkeeper Simon Royce is set to return his place between the posts while Simon King is set to return to the heart of the Gills defence in place of Mark Bentley.

Player to watch: Simeon Jackson

Simeon Jackson has been in fine goalscoring form virtually all season but like ‘Alfie’ the goals seem to have dried up of late in will no doubt be looking to influence the match a great deal.
