Thorpe To Stay At Dale

It has been confirmed today that Dale striker Lee Thorpe has agreed to sign a six month deal with the club.

With Dale short in striking options and with HillCroft struggling to bring players in this seems a decent move by the Dale.

Thorpe had started to win the fans around after a slow start but then sadly had his season ended through a leg injury. As a result he missed the play-offs and bizarrely still managed to pick up another injury on the way down to Darlo. Thorpe was arm wrestling with Rene Howe when he broke his arm on the club coach.

Thorpe will bring some experience to the squad and Hilly has commented before on what a good professional he is. Just don’t ask him to smile!
